In 2020, the top 1% of American households held over 32% of the country’s wealth, while 50% of households collectively held less than 2% of the country’s wealth.

We invest in teams and business solutions that reduce the wealth gap and advance climate justice in the United States. We support changemakers who are advancing systems change through their work. Shifting who owns assets and gets the upside of asset appreciation (e.g. inclusive real estate, employee ownership)

Increasing access to capital

Supporting financial intermediaries that provide capital to businesses and individuals who haven’t had access to affordable credit

Promoting quality jobs

Improving worker economic opportunities and wellbeing (e.g. higher wages, profit sharing, employee benefits, and democratic governance)

Advancing climate justice

Finding solutions to the climate crisis that are fair and equitable, including regenerative agriculture

Ownership Fund

Wealth inequality and worker disengagement are increasing. The Unlock Ownership Pilot Fund invests in two proven paths to growing household wealth, while also increasing well-being: home ownership and employee ownership. We act with hope and urgency for a better future for us all.
